Thomas is the Head of ICT at Fahan School, where he leads the design, governance, and day-to-day delivery of technology that supports teaching, learning, and the broader life of the school. Thomas was born in Hobart and moved to the United States in 1998, where he spent his childhood growing up. He returned to Tasmania in 2013 with a background in computer science and cybersecurity. Since 2018, Thomas has been a part of the Fahan family and he brings a strong systems mindset paired with a deep appreciation for the culture and values of a small, independent school.
At Fahan, Thomas focuses on ensuring the school’s technology is reliable, secure, and quietly effective. His work centres on long-term planning, risk awareness, and thoughtful use of digital tools, to give staff confidence, support students, and protect the continuity of the school. He is particularly passionate about helping Fahan use technology in a way that aligns with its values, supports good governance, and positions the school to adapt confidently to future change.
